  • Do you accept extended and long-term boarding requests?
    Yes! At While Owner is Away we specialize in extended stays, as well as long-term boarding of 2+ months. We find that boarding long-term in a home environment is best for pets of all ages and backgrounds.
  • My dog loves their daily walks! But what about rain/storms?
    Rain or shine - we walk anytime! At While Owner is Away, we limit our outdoor exposure during peak temperatures in the summer, and freezing weather in the winter. Walks do continue as usual during the rain, with the exception of severe thunderstorms/inclement weather conditions which may pose a significant safety risk to your pets or us.
  • What should I do in case of an emergency involving my pet?
    In the event of an emergency during a walk, boarding, or visit at your home, we have a comprehensive emergency plan in place. We will contact you, provide guidance, and take appropriate action. Your pet's health and safety are our top priorities.
  • Something has come up last-minute, can I book with you on short-notice?
    Absolutely! We understand things happen and situations arise outside of our control. We happily review last-minute and short-notice requests as we receive them, and do our very best to accommodate your needs and the needs of your pets.
